Jewelry Care
How to Care for Your VIECLAT Jewelry
Your VIECLAT pieces are crafted in solid 10K, 14K, or 18K gold — built to last a lifetime with the right care. Here’s how to keep them looking their best.
Daily Wear Tips
- Put your jewelry on last — after perfume, lotion, and hairspray. Chemicals can dull the finish over time.
- Remove rings before washing hands, doing dishes, or applying hand cream.
- Take off your jewelry before swimming, showering, or exercising. Chlorine and saltwater can affect the surface finish.
- Store each piece separately to prevent scratching.
Cleaning Your Gold Jewelry
To clean at home:
- Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm (not hot) water.
- Soak your piece for 10–15 minutes.
- Gently scrub with a soft-bristled toothbrush, paying attention to settings and crevices.
- Rinse thoroughly under warm running water.
- Pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth and allow to air dry completely before storing.
Avoid: ultrasonic cleaners, harsh chemicals, bleach, toothpaste, and abrasive cloths.
Storing Your Jewelry
- Store in the original VIECLAT pouch or a fabric-lined jewelry box.
- Keep pieces separated to avoid tangling or scratching.
- Store away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Gemstone Care
For rings featuring amethyst, cubic zirconia, or other stones:
- Avoid exposing gemstones to extreme heat or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Clean gently — stones can loosen over time if subjected to harsh scrubbing.
- Have prong settings checked annually by a jeweler.
Long-Term Care
Solid gold doesn’t tarnish, but it can develop a natural patina over time that many people love. If you prefer the original high shine, a professional polish from a jeweler will restore it beautifully.
